Bristol / Manchester young guns Tom Jarmey & Joe Litherland have been quietly making their mark on the UK electronic landscape over the last 12 months and beyond, with Jarmey’s releases on the likes of Lobster Theremin, Banoffee Pies and Vivid, and more recently, Litherland on h21c and Mood of the Era, all cutting through, despite everything.

With those releases taking in everything from Coco Bryce style neo-DnB, to expansive breaks and warm, deep house, this joint Stasis EP looks towards more introspective, electro flavoured territory. At the risk of trying to read too much into things, it's hard to escape the feeling that 12 months of drift and dislocation has left reflective, unshowily emotional traces across the crisp, melodic pieces.

The joint EP involves separate tracks from both artists, and a welcome remix contribution from fellow traveller, and rising London / Portsmouth bod 1-800 Girls; but it also works as a single, end to end listen. Which in times of shuttered dancefloors and enforced home listening, is probably no bad thing.
